What are you waiting for?

I Brake for Kloeys.

Tonight, I feel vitality gushing through my veins. If I'm to be completely honest, I'll admit to some good ol'-fashioned meanness coursing around in there, too. I've been rather busy and more than slightly out of sorts lately, but for tonight, I am king of the world, with the exception of a few anatomical differences, of course. I'm currently listening to the impressive Lena Horne's I Got Rhythm. I am awash with apathy regarding anything other than giving myself a small respite from the demands of my life. Now that Tammy lives in my home, I'm making her tend the baby some. I made her get up with him this morning and I also made her put him to bed tonight. I spent time with Caden today, but I did so at my whim. Well, his whim, as well. He's quite accustomed to having my attention as he wishes. Want to know something which just tickles my funny bone? You do? Fabulous! I haven't changed a diaper all day long. How 'bout those biscuits? Tammy has been moaning the blues about the responsibility of taking care of a baby. Every single time she utters a complaint, I tend to hear, "Blah blah blah." My brain is automatically triggered to find humor when it processes said blah blah blah. I'm quite convinced that I saw what would amount to steam piping from her ears today as I laughed so hard that my sides ached abominably. You see, Caden wasn't being so very docile and she was whining more than he was whining. I'm equally convinced that she was condemning me to the fiery depths of hell when I laughingly informed her that she was just getting started and after keeping him for sixteen months, she could come back and I may be inclined to listen to her whining, but until such time as that, she should pull up her huggies and take it like a man. My Grandmother? Well, I've had the others chipping in with her today, too. Chores, as well. I had my Mother prepare dinner. Ended up with fried porkchops, mushrooms and onions, tossed salad, and fried corn (I kid you not! She actually fried the corn. I couldn't make that up if I tried.), so I had salad for dinner. Maybe next time I'll provide a menu when I have her prepare dinner. At this point, who cares? My salad was savory and pretty, as it was leafy with splashes of the vivid orange of a western sunset, the crimson of the bloodiest ruby, the smooth purple of crushed velvet, and the green of a flawless Columbian grass green emerald. A few other colors were in the mix, as well, but for all that, it was a fairly simple salad. All that aside, I'm feeling perfectly mean, yet liberated. It's so fabulous to shuck the load from my shoulders for a day or so. I took Caden and my Nana for a drive. When we returned, I dashed inside, slipped out of my skirt and blouse, rummaged around until I found a soft pair of microfiber shorts, a sports bra, ankle socks, and my old sneakers. After dressing, I grabbed my new jump rope, my old jump rope, my resistance bands, and Caden and made my way to the outside world. I was cold, but then I began to warm up as I was jumping. Why'd I bring my old jump rope? Well, Caden likes to exercise with me. He has his own dumbbells now. They're only two pounds each, but he attempts to emulate my actions during my workout, so it works well enough. I giggled as a little girl may giggle as I watched my sixteen month old nephew try to jump rope. I did a bit of jogging in place while Caden continued to, um, master the art of jumping rope. I decided to call it an evening so I curled up on the swing with a couple of my fitness magazines and had a jolly good time reading the articles and whatnot. It was most relaxing. Well, I was listening to the gentle strain of Lena Horne, but now I'm allowing the beauty of Harry Gregson-Williams to soothe my spirit. I don't care that others label him as a solo flop. I adore the solo album he composed and conducted for Spy Game. Adding Metro Voices was pure genius. The voices of Anzu Lawson, Lisbeth Scott, and Khosro Ansari seduce me each time I listen to the score. If you like the Middle Eastern influence, you'll definitely want to check out Ansari. Okay. I'm done for the moment. I may be back later to torment the world with the twisted and inconsistent stuff that poses as my thoughts.
