Good Morning and hello there on this Tuesday in Early November. Brrrr the winds off Lake Michigan are bitter cold this time of year. Well, perhaps not bitter cold, just whipping and blowing and bone chilling to say the least. It’s close to winter here so what am I expecting right? Oh well… I looked on MSN and found nothing that tweaked my melon so I am free handing it this morning. So brace yourself many, many Martyism’s might just appear. The home front is always a good place to start. Today is Mandy’s Birthday she is a 19 year old today. We are doing the PAPA VINO’S lunch date today due to the fact she has to work from 8:00PM to 1:00AM at the Ole Navy Store. Apparently their Christmas load is in and they need to rearrange the store and get their Holiday on… So that means no Christmas music will be played in our house until Christmas time I expect. Don’t you just hate it when stores play their Christmas jingles, Music and have all the décor up two months in advance? I do! I mean I love the Christmas Holiday and what it is about and it isn’t about stores playing music and selling off everything at discounted pricing. But, that is what is fed to us on a yearly basis. Yeah some towns do it right with their church trying to get the whole town into a mode and in some cases it does work. There are always the Newsie’s out there taking donations for the needy. Groups and organizations taking charge for the homeless and those less fortunate which almost makes me want to finish my “Sign Sigan everywhere a Sign” gig but I will still hold off. As it happened to me once more today on the way into work I stopped off at the local grocery store which is a 24 hour type venue and on my way out I seen this lady try to flag down a passing car driving out of the parking lot. I thought it was a friend of hers that did not see her, but that thought was quickly crushed when she asked me “Sir, excuse me but do you have any spare change so I can call a Taxi home?” I didn’t naturally because I normally always pay with a debit card no matter how small the item I buy. But in this case I was certainly glad my pockets were not jingle jangling as I walked and I told her , “No I am sorry I do not.” I am not a heartless person, lord knows anyone who knows me can agree that I would give the shirt off my back to those in need. But, you can tell, oh yes you can tell a genuine from fake in a heartbeat and I know situations happen. But, how does one get to a store where she was not carrying any bags. Now certainly what she may have or may not have bought could have fit in her purse but, I am thinking she was looking to put back into the store and purchase a bottle of wine or something and if anyone is going to be buying wine with my money it best be Jax, Bonnie or Amanda…. Well I better not send Mandy in to purchase alcohol that is just a fine waiting to happen there.. But I think her mind was not on getting home, more so on getting a fix fixed. See how do uou get a ride somewhere and not have plans to get home? If she said her car had broken down that is one thing, If she said various others excuses I might have figured a way to help her… but something in her voice told me, Marty hold your ground and think would you yourself have done this? Kinda like what would Jesus do… Just kidding! I am starting my Christmas mode so that was my reference and no offensive remarks were meant in any other way. Wow again I lost train tracks to my destination. Where was I? Oh heck I will get back to Manderooski and her Birthday. Lunch at the P-Vino’s and then what ever will be will be. Oh in case you were wondering about MSN and their headlines there is a somewhat cute article on 10 big wedding mistakes made by wedding guests on the bride and groom. Somewhat good reading and I truly can relate. That is why more should just elope and have a big reception when all the hype and lore is faded off. I truly feel that in some cases is the best medicine. Only because so, so many fights, arguments and other embarrassing items come up on what is referred to a woman’s most precious day. One such event happened to Bonnie and myself involving my sisters….so no one is ever safe no one.. on that I will just say, the above views are the soul act of a man in need of coffee… HELP!!!!
