Good Morning. I see where a woman by the name of Meleanie Hain's in Pennsylvania had her concealed-weapons permit revoked in September after spectators complained about her openly carrying her loaded & holstered Glock at her 5-year-old daughter's soccer game. However, the only penalty under state law is the loss of the privilege of concealment, so that if Hain continues to carry the gun, she must do so openly. So I am expecting she also road in on a horse too…Who does that? Not the horse riding mind you but carry’s a loaded gun to a child’s sporting event… I however have witnessed acts considered violent at softball games I coached back in the day…just parents tossing verbal barbs at the umps, or directed at another parent for what they felt was rubbing in their face comments. But carrying a pistol holstered in plain view is like telling everyone there you mean not to be taken lightly. I feel violence in our day and age has come to a head. Hang in there while I say this and I do not mean to spread gloom and doom…but these are startling facts.
Do you in the sixty’s remember road rage? I mean perhaps a motor cycle gang did this or that but you never heard of out right fights started over who took who’s parking space, or who cut who off… I mean people are being beat up or shot and killed over things we once just took as oh well I was not quick enough or shoot you go ahead and take the spot I will look for another. How about the person who is too busy to completely stop at a stop sign…the virtual rolling stop…that makes me mad, however I have never felt I needed to run them down, drag their asses back there and make them count to 5 before the could proceed. It is common place now to see cameras in court rooms, high schools and other areas where once we never thought violence could take place…I mean court rooms, aren’t they normally inhabited by a few officers who have the right to carry and use a gun? I just seen a program called most shocking… Most shocking court appearances… holey crap that program showed what we have came to as a people in this day and age…and it doesn’t matter if you are in a big city or rural town…where do we go from here? Is the wild wild west coming back around?
