get420's blog: "get420"

created on 09/07/2008  |  http://fubar.com/get420/b243761
Now, I recently saw a review on Stumble Upon about a press release that was issued by the DEA today, and I passed this along to fellow stumblers regarding a man from Oregon who was sentenced to prison for cultivating marijuana. It was titled DEA: Get420 Imprisonment For 1000 Pot Plants. This blog (kitchy word-call it trog) was not about whether you are pro or con regarding marijuana. You can hate marijuana for a variety of reasons that are completely valid. But, there are multiple wars being waged, that are not only constitutionally illegal, but they are economically not feasible for the economy, nor any economy. This is why history and information is vitally important to read, digest, and analyze. Perhaps, some may not know why the French Revolution took place, but a little bit of history may help us to understand that wars are not beneficial for the collective, unless you’re a king, a multi-national corp, a politician, a lobbyist for Lockheed Martin, and the list of dirtbags goes on and on. google the Carlyle Group and see what’s going on and what’s at stake. It’s called liberty and freedom. The cute buzzword crap that so many people buy for a dollar to put on their cars, and it’s probably made in China is passe and sickening. And then they wonder why they’re so confused and out of work. And this isn’t slamming China either, but hopefully slams a brick upside America’s collective head to get them to wake up from their Fox News eyes and ears, so glued to the tube. And the ladder climbing opportunist ho’s in Hollywood also. They are just as disgusting and shameful. Anyway back to the French Revolution during the tumultuous period in which their was the nobility, clergy, and the serfs/peasants. France’s assistance and support for America’s Revolutionary War bankrupted them. Now layer that with the Sun King, Louis, and his darling wife Marie (who had their dirtbag heads cut off) who spent 50% of the countries tribute/taxes on the Versailles Palace. Look it up on google and it’s beautiful, but the people were starving to death, thus the 3rd estate rebelled against this tyranny in 1789. I appreciated the content of this persons review, and not that I don’t appreciate the very good and supportive reviews and stumbles by others on Stumble Upon, I do, and I sincerely express those sentiments to all of them. The premise of his review was that to just take some information that affects the lives of all of us, and not thoroughly digest it, nor analyze and critique it is ignorant and deadly. I attend a University here in L.A. and the statistics with cut and paste plagiarism and cheating is in the 70% range. I’m not here to accuse nor point fingers at anyone. My job as a journalist/historian and a blogger is to hopefully inform, educate, entertain, and perhaps even make a small impact on this world that only WE THE PEOPLE can turn around. Reliance on politicians, churches, corporations, lobby groups, and many other cloak and dagger doog00der tax exempt organizations that are money making ponzy schemes failed us all dismally. This is the cauldron of lies and deception that creates a lot of atheists and people who just give up. But don’t, they (the power players) want you to. Take some time to get involved with something, anything. People here in L.A. are all against the war with their support the troops (which we do on get420.com and the Iraqi Vets against the war IVAW.org) and that’s all good. But have they ever talked to a vet, have they ever talked to any civilians who have been in war ravaged countries. NO, it’s just another dollar bill in the collection plate of apathy and stupidity. They would be better off giving the dollar bill to a vet for a beer at a local 7-11, or a liquor store, because the co-payments for their mental health has increased, and they have to drink to kill their psychological pain. But there is hope, and there are people involved. Jay Leno who may drive his antique cars around here in Burbank waving and honking his horn has a beautiful wife who helps the people of Afghanistan. It’s all good to get420, have girls, make mad money, watch snoop, own 50 cars (stupid) or whatever, but do something that has meaning and is lasting. Some of these ingrates locally here in Los Angeles could start by just saying thank you and quit trying to be so uber-cool with their cute little pointy shoes and $400 cigar lighters. Buy a zippo and give the money to the poor or a neighbor who needs a leaky roof fixed. Sorry if I pointed any fingers, but I too have to be reminded that they point back at me…
