For the past couple of weeks my friend, Mr. Chuggler, and I have been installing a home theater in my first house. It is an experience to say the least but it is well worth it as you will see.
Now I admit to being a major novice when it comes to sheetrock and it is showing in the closet where all the equipment is setup. LOL I was gonna have to fix it all anyway :-)
Here is a rundown of the setup:
Kenwood 5.1 surround sound out to Polk Audio M1 front channels, a DCM center channel, and KLIPSCH H-700 Heresy rear speakers.... the speakers I had readily available. I am using the klipsch on the rear because the newer Polk Audio have a cleaner sound than the 20 year old Klipsh speakers
This sound system is Fed by X-box, DVD Player, Digital Cable, ReplayTV, Windows XP Laptop, and Windows Media Center PC (almost ready) with Svideo out to a Epson Projector about 15' from the wall.
This is shining onto a giant screen which honestly is a king sized bed sheet folded in half and stapled to the old wood paneling. Hence the High-Tech Redneck... Hey now... screens this big are outrageously expensive LOL. This was $9.00!! LOL!
We measured the screen tonight and it is 104" across by 52" high. You don't believe me? LOL We didn't either. Here is a pic of the screen with the lights on...
As you can see it is huge. Here are a couple more teaser shots of the screen in action.

I turned on Star Wars III - Revenge of the Sith for the last 20 minutes or so just enough to see Yoda and the Emperor going at it and watch the finals of the Anachin v Kenobi.. It really is spectacular. The shot on the screen in these pics is off the ReplayTV DVR of last weeks The Unit episode.
