Grains of Sand
I had no idea
Our dreams and plans
Would be in time
Fallen grains of sand
It went by so fast
With just the "tic"
Of a hand
And so now removed
Are our wedding bands
I never thought
Those beautiful eyes
Would look at me
And say goodbye
I think of our love
And it makes me sigh
Then I wish that we
Both would have tried
I'm sure if we
Would just hold hands
Together we could
Save those grains of sand
