OK, in Florida, a school has specifically banned Gothic clothing and makeup...ignoring gang clothes and other stuff, just targeting the Goth kids. The Goths are of course fighting this as freedom of expression. The school's justification of this is that Gothic clothing promotes violence and death, citing as evidence the Columbine shootings, since those guys were wearing black...ignoring of course that the Columbine killers weren't in any clique and certainly weren't Goths, and that Goths are usually non-violent. Soooo...
Is the school board retarded for doing this?
