Now-a-days, it seems as though people use the word "love" too frivolously. Love should not be taken lightly and you should never tell someone you love them if you don't. Love is not always convenient, but if it is true love, it will overcome any obstacle.
Here's a few quotes that I feel represent true love:
True love is not how you forgive, but how you forget, not what you see but what you feel, not how you listen but how you understand, and not how you let go but how you hold on
The best thing about loving and being hurt is that you get to know what true love really is. For as gold is tested in fire, and so will love be perfected in pain
When you really love someone you accept all, You never give up and never let go, You love that person unconditionally. You love them completely
It is impossible to fall out of love. Love is such a powerful emotion, that once it envelops you it does not depart. True love is eternal. If you think that you were once in love, but fell out of it, then it wasn't love you were in. There are no 'exit' signs in love, there is only an "on ramp"
If you ever had your heart broken or hurt, and you forgave that person and still was able to love them like before, that's true love
If you love someone, if you truly love someone, you will put aside foolish pride and fear, and love them without regret, without worry, because you know that without them there is no reason for caring
