Giver of Dark
Slowly dimming waning light
Creation of the shadowed night
And far beneath the canopy of trees
Awaiting was the witches deed
All cloaked in Black thy make no sounds
Yet silence brought the spirits round
I speak of all the spirits dead
While creeping darkness came to wed
Giver of Dark
Spring life from the soils
Protection of the troubles and toils
Bind thee in thy secret mysteries
and echo haunting melodies
And into the night the moon doth shine
Upon the groves and to the shrines
Above the hawk encircled thee
Descended darkened death to be
and through the thinnest veil of time
to seek the otherworld in musing rhyme
to bide thee all and bid farewell
and feast to follow ritual
fear not and walk the path a hero
the substance of life
By far is the ego
And drink the elixir of wisdom become
the passion that rises from the darkened one
Giver of dark
Merging with light
Delight in the Imbas gifts tonight
To quietly know where we stood
