I Am the Goddess
Among the many mortal lives
mistaken her and him yet ye have mistaken thee
For was no harm in place for thee?
For among them upon a reflection of me!
Who claims thy ways?
She who remains in solitude shall not tell
She knows...
She listens...
And grief could not touch love
She will not be mistaken!
And the northwind came
Stirring leaves wildly
She surrounds me and rocks me gently
I became her and resided in womb for a spell
Beneath the mist she sheltered me well
And the animals wise of various size
And the trees above watching like guarded cranes
The totem pole of an ancient time remain
As she has touched the flaming one
Clearly feeling thy wrath
Wreaking from hunters who burned and slain
Tho through inspirations and enchantment
I rise again...and have touched many
I consorted...
I contorted of thy cosmic rays
Yet you have seen me, close thine eyes
meditate breathe, my breath awhile
Truly did Goddess bring me here
For those who departed against thy will
For those who looked ill or insane
For those who concealed a flesh mole or freckle
Yet I remain and with many who know my names
For I am the Goddess
