I know that this is not Native American Indian however in the theme of Creation Myths, felt that here is the best place to post this as it is my personal favorite!
And the Earth and Stars were made, having nothing on them to make them happy. Gaia spun around and saw great beauty in the Universe. She saw the Sun and was happy, she saw the Moon and was happy, she saw the Stars and was happy. She swelled with joy and reached out to touch the beauty, but could not. Gaia wept and felt better.
Gaia sent energy to feel them and was happy. Then she tried to physically touch the beauty. She made limbs on herself and stretched, but still could not reach. She was sad. Gaia wept, and felt better.
She looked at her limbs that could not reach the other planets and stars and was surprised! They were beautiful! She was happy. She gave them part of herself and let them live. And Gaia's limbs were the Trees.
So, In company were Gaia, the Earth; Gaia's tears, Water; and Gaia's limbs, Trees. The Trees gathered in the Love coming from the Universe and gave it to Gaia and she was happy. She wept tears of joy, the Trees shared her joy and drank her tears. The Trees became bigger and stronger.
"Gaia, Great Mother," they said, "thank you for your tears, they make us strong so that we may give you the love of the Universe."
And Gaia was happy. Gaia's energy swelled and the Tree's energy joined with it and the energy of the Universe joined. Gaia laughed and shook the leaves of the Trees and awakened the Air. And the Air moved as Wind and caressed Gaia and the Trees. All were happy.
Then, the trees were alarmed. "Gaia, Great Mother," they said, "help us! Your tears make us stronger, but we cannot drink them all, so they gather in your Oceans and Lakes and Rivers. When they go there, they take some of you from around us. Your happiness awakened Air, who caresses us both, but as His Wind goes by, it takes some of you from around us."
Air and Water heard how they had distressed the Trees and went and shared with them and apologized. This made Gaia very happy. They all shared energy. Gaia tingled from the joy and Air and Water entered and made Grass.
The Goddess saw Gaia and all upon Her and was pleased by the sight and became happy. The Goddess talked with Gaia and Gaia worshiped Her. Then, in admiration, all on Gaia combined and made a likeness of the Goddess to please her. The Goddess was pleased and sent her energy to the likeness and gave life to Woman.
The Goddess called forth the God, her consort, and showed him all Gaia's beauty and Gaia's gift to her, Woman. He was happy. The God and Goddess went and walked upon Gaia. The God joined with the likeness of the Goddess, Woman, and there was created Man.
The Lord and Lady joined with the Trees and made plants, the Land and made the Animals. They joined with the Water and made Fish, the Air and made birds. And some who were of Water joined with Land and some with Air. And some who were of Air joined with Land and some with Water.
And so, all were made and it was Good.
