Ingredients
* 4 HORMEL® ALWAYS TENDER® Extra Thick Bone-in Pork Chops
* 1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored and chopped
* 1 cup golden raisins
* 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
* 1 tablespoon each butter and vegetable oil
Directions
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Mix apple, raisins, and walnuts in a bowl and set aside until needed. Carefully cut a slit or pocket in the side of each pork chop and season them with salt and pepper. Stuff 1/4 of the fruit and nut mixture into the pocket of each chop. Place the butter and oil into a stove top-to-oven frying pan on stove over medium-high heat. When butter mixture is foamy, add pork chops, cooking long enough to brown then carefully turn over. (Any loose stuffing can be tucked back into the chops with a spoon.) Take pan of pork chops from the stovetop and place in the preheated oven. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until pork chops are done and apples are tender. Pour accumulated pan juices over pork chops before serving.
