Sharkfin's blog: "Chaos"

created on 10/03/2006  |  http://fubar.com/chaos/b9661
Good Morning. As we sit here onward to each of our daily routines a spy satellite is heading towards earth out of control. WASHINGTON - A large U.S. spy satellite has lost power and could hit the Earth in late February or March, government officials said Saturday. The satellite, which no longer can be controlled, could contain hazardous materials, and it is unknown where on the planet it might come down, they said. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the information is classified as secret. "Appropriate government agencies are monitoring the situation," said Gordon Johndroe, a spokesman for the National Security Council, when asked about the situation after it was disclosed by other officials. "Numerous satellites over the years have come out of orbit and fallen harmlessly. We are looking at potential options to mitigate any possible damage this satellite may cause." Hmmm imagine that a Greyhound Bus sized Satellite is heading towards earth and they can’t stop it, can’t control it and can’t say much more then we beg your pardon. “We Beg Your Pardon” Have you ever heard anyone say that with no remorse? I mean I have all the time, it usually is someone content on getting past an issue and they have your approval by saying “I beg your Pardon” But, mostly you don’t hear the I in it. You will hear a faster then a speeding bullet version of it, something like this, beg ya pardon, like that makes the foul up any better, I just once would like to catch someone in it and say, NO! I am not pardoning you, not this time and not until you can use that phrase like it was intended to be used. It was intended to be used as a question of forgiveness. At which point until the person asked to forgive forgave then the conversation could go on. Not many people I know use it as a question but more as your answer to allow them to continue. Well, in NASA’S case or the CIA or whom ever thrust that spy satellite into orbit now has more on their minds then just where the damages are to be pin-pointed. I mean the thing is the size of a bus, and when meteorites drop in on us the size of a softball they make big holes… I just wonder hole big of a hole a bus sized object speeding to earth with make? I mean it is not going to slow down at the railroad tracks… It surely will not obey the traffic lights. I also bet it has not concern for stop signs either. But all NASA can think about is whom might get our trade secrets, the reason the satellite was sent up in the first place, oh someone or some nation is going to be pissed if it falls into the hands of those whom it was intended on spying on…Oh I beg your pardon, we really did not intend it to view your dealings…Oh well, the ole adage what goes up must come down, should comply in late February or Early March. To bad they could not have had a bit more time, because they could have used the saying: “April Fools…” May your day be… well Bus sized satellite free… A huge hug and many pats. Mart
