Good Morning. I decided to take a break from Tuesday Tirade due in part to a reply sent on to me from a very dear friend whom I am privileged to know and think my life is better knowing her. She replied back to me on yesterday morning missive about what was an American Dream. In her reply she also attached some very touching pictures of the causalities of wars on various sites known throughout history in which both Canadian troops and American troops lost their lives protecting what at the time was world changing events and basically is the most important lesson in the struggles of life, Freedom and why we are free to have that dream. As I said I feel richer knowing her and wished all were as lucky as I. You know you have a real friend when a letter from that person can make you tear up. Now I know there are various forms of letters which can make a person tear up and all are not always a warm and fuzzy feeling after their reading, but I think you know what I am saying. So today’s missive will be on how unlucky events turn into lucky events. I know what you’re thinking. Marty what kind of coffee did Juan Valdez issue you this morning? Hear me out. Now a fall from any height is dangerous to anyone jumping or falling without proper falling apparel, namely of course the awe inspiring Parachute. A somewhat no-no on the fashion statement but, looks be damned when jumping from a plane, right? Ok now I do not think a parachute would work on a six story fall. I think not enough time would be given for it to properly break said fall…So when this lady choose to do her fall. In Nanjing, China. She survived a fall from a sixth floor balcony when a pile of poo broke her fall. The lucky - or unlucky - escape happened when the woman was hanging out her laundry. She suffered only slight injuries in the incident in Nanjing, China. "She landed in a 20cm thick heap of excrement," the Kuaibao tabloid newspaper gleefully reported. "Workers happened to be emptying the building's septic tank, which had not been tended for a long time, and had regularly blocked sewage pipes. "She probably stretched out too far and fell." The newspaper does not record the woman's reaction after realizing what had saved her. :: Last month a six year old girl suffered only a broken leg when she fell six floors on to a pile of snow in the Heilongjiang area of North East China. I am thinking guardrails perhaps might be a future requirement of Chinese building codes… So falling in poo might not be appealing but, one just never knows what guardian Angel is watching over them… In this case she had Guardian poo… Not to poo poo the subject, or mudsling Chinas building improvement requirements…oh heck let’s end on that note… Have a wonderful day and if you sky dive take a parachute, if you balcony dive…well…make sure you have something soft to break your fall..
