Here's an interesting phenomena now on exhibit in Mexico City. At roughly the same time in history, the Egyptian and the Aztec, Inca, Olmec and Mayan civilizations went suddenly from being tribal hunter/gatherers to having full fledged civilizations, complete with these things in common: Mummies, pyramids, a 365 day accurate calendar, advanced astronomy, animal headed Gods with human bodies, written language and strikingly similar depictions of a feathered serpent deity.
