What are you waiting for?

First off, I know there are a lot of people out there who don't believe in the super natural, that is ok, I don't blame you or judge you for that.  If you don't believe, then move on, because that's what this blog is about, and I am seriously seeking some help here, I don't need criticism or to be judged or heckled, thanks!!

As most of my friends know, I am Wiccan, or something close to it, I don't follow the rules exactly I guess...I'm spiritual, not religious.

Since my son was born, there has been something present in my house.  My husband and I both have always had the ability to sense energy, wether you want to call it spirits, demons, ghosts, whatever...Some things have specific names.

Whatever this entity is, it was not here prior to the birth of my son.  When it first showed up, (and I'm not sure that what was here at first is the same thing that is here now).  I sensed a feeling of peace and calm.  One night when my son woke up crying, I jumped out of bed to tend to him, and I saw something standing over his crib, when it reached out to him, he quieted, and I did not feel that it meant harm, it was a very peaceful, calm feeling, it felt like love.  For a while after he was first here, I felt this presence off and on.  Then one day it was just gone.

As the boy got older, something else seemed to show up, something that niether my husband or I could ever get a sense of where or what it was.  We can't feel it's intent, and sometimes it comes and goes without detection at all except for the physical things that it does.  If you have experienced this type of thing, you know it takes some amount of energy for non corporial things to move objects, so it stands to reason that if you are sensitive, you will feel the entity when it is active, in this case, that is not always true.  I have never had this experience before, and niether has my husband.

At first, it would play with my sons toys, and at first, we thought his toys were malfunctioning, you know, toys just starting to play music, or make their noise, not that creepy.  Then, it started playing with more and more of them, and we felt like not all of his toys could be malfunctioning, but still, we couldn't get a real sense of what or where it was until the toy would go off.

Shortly after this, my son began to be affraid to sleep in his own room.  He would wake up at night screaming, and run to our room.  Sometimes he would wake up screaming and then he would cry, we would let him cry, you know like all the good parenting rules made up by experts tell you to do, but after 15 minutes, and he hasn't even slowed up, we would go to check on him, he would be sitting in his bed, like he was unable or unwilling to move, just sitting up, screaming and crying.  Of course we would bring him in the room with us, go ahead, think it, we're bad parents...  This went on for sometime, some nights he would sleep in his room all night, no problems, other nights not.  The nots became more and more frequent, and sometimes after bringing him into our room, it would take a while to console him even there.

The next step was that he would not allow himself to fall asleep in his room at all.  We would have to put him to sleep then move him to his room, where he would sometimes sleep and sometimes not, wake up screaming and crying, sometimes easily consoled, sometimes not.  Then he when he caught on to that, he would wake easily when you picked him up to move him.  We went through this for a while, and became determined that he would sleep in his own room.  It was about this time that he has learned to talk.

He begins talking about I want to say, he called him, or it Eddie, but I can't remember is this is right.  Again, my husband and I are like, ok, he's a year and half old, he's just talking, maybe he's got an imaginary friend or whatever.  But then he started to say some kind of strange things about Eddie, and that Eddie scared him and lived in his bear.  The bear was bought at an auction at family reunion, and was used, looked like new, but was used.  We thought there may have been something attached to the bear.  I performed a cleansing of the bear, but that did not change anything.  The wierdness continued, and seemed to get worse.  My sons room became a place that no one liked to go into, even the family dog now refuses to go into his room.

But let me back up, just a little bit.  Just before my son turned 3, so about 3 or 4 months ago (wow, it doesn't seem like it's been that long).  Hubby and I decided he was going to start sleeping in his room.  We had gotten rid of the bear, which by the way was a wierd day, the cabinets in the bathroom and kitchen went to shaking, the whole house was "vibrating" when we carried the bear out to the truck to take it around to the dumpster.  The truck died three times on the way to the dumpster (a truck that has never before or since had trouble to start, or stay going).  We got rid of an old rocking chair that was bought at an estate sale, after I cleansed it, and things continued to go on.  So back to we are going to make him sleep in his room.  We are just sick of not having our bed to ourselves!!  So we make him go to bed in his room, I sat with him for a bit and read a story, he was relaxed and seemed to be ok with the whole thing, I got him his favorite blanket and pillow, blah blah.  Everyone goes to bed.  About 20 minutes later, he runs to our room crying and screaming.  I tell him, you have to sleep in your room tonight, I get him calmed down and start to take him to his room, he becomes hysterical, he grabs the door frame to our room and is refusing to go to his room, I'm fighting with him to get him to go, and I hear a moan? groan?  I don't understand what is said, so I ask my husband, what did you say, about the same time he asks me, what did you say?  I hear it again, and get this feeling of ickkk coming from my sons room.  That is the last time he has had to try to sleep there.

I have performed several cleansing rituals, used several things, smudge sticks, a mixture I made of salt, rosemary and thyme, I have ordered it out, blah blah blah, to no avail.  Last night, it turned the light off in my sons room twice.

Does anybody know what else to do???

Update:

I talked to the Shaman at the store where I buy a lot of my supplies, she recommended dragons blood over the white sage.  She told me a few things to do during the ritual, and it worked beautifully!!  My son sleeps in his room, the dog will go in there, the whole room has a different feel to it.
