DID I WRITE A POEM?
I wrote some lines that mostly rhymed,
each word rhymed with the word before
feather, weather, other, mother,
each word a rhyme: prime, dime, slime, time.
Words and rhythm almost rhyming
No story, just words and rhythm
It’s a given that poetry sings,
Of silken(?) wings ‘n fluffy things,
Are my flowing words Poetry?
Or are they ‘political prose’ ...
words dressed up in prominent rows
promising honey, more money,
saying nothing, giving nothing.
Tell me true, make believe you care;
is this a Poem to share … with YOU?
