In Wisconsin, the City Hall put up a nativity scene in their front lawn as an (admitted) outright protest against atheists in a nearby town. Seeing this symbol of Jesusy goodness placed on government property, the local Wiccans, deciding that what's good for the goose is good for the gander, placed a Yule pentacle next to the Nativity. This has created a retarded amount of friction and upset in the community. So, whaddaya think.....
A) Having an exlusisionary religious holiday display is fine on city property
**or**
B) If they can have a Nativity, then they should allow a Yule display, a Kwanzaa display and a Chanukah display too.
((My opinion, doing lights and stuff is wonderful, just leave the religious icons out of it if it's on city property)) |
