OK..lol. A friend of mine told me yesterday that he was kicked out of a tattoo parlour because he asked to have a pentacle tattooed on his chest. When the tattoo artist was asked why, he responded with a bunch of bible stuff about how my friend was evil and a sinner and all sorts of preachy stuff. My problem here... A: A LOT of tattoo artists here where I live (Seattle area) are Pagan and are just fine with tattooing Christian stuff on folks. B: If he really was THAT devout, he would know that in Leviticus 19:28 it is specifically forbidden by their God to make any cuttings, marks or tattoos on your body. So here's the question.......
Is this artist a massive hypocrite by spouting bible scripture at my Pagan friend yet running a tattoo parlour, thereby violating his own religion's rules?

Is this guy feeling he is justified in his position by thinking he's blending in with the 'sinners' so he can do his 'spreading the good news' thing? |
