Some of you took the last mumm a bit too seriously Shame, shame on you So, Ive decided to post one that IS real

My sons school has been on this kick about doing things for the community, and since then, my son hasnt stopped talking about Helping people So on that note, Im thinking about taking him with me to a local battered womens shelter or homeless shelter and helping out, serve food or whatever may be necessary this weekend.

My only concern is that he may be just a little too young still to grasp the whole concept and reasoning behind why some of these people are in the situations that they are in.

So on that note, is 8 really too young? If so, what are some other avenues/ideas that would be appropriate for his age group in order to help the community?
