The accident

I pulled in to the school parking lot earlier than normal and stood at my car chatting with my family.  Bella pulled in to her usual spot and got out.  She briefly looked in my direction, and then directed her attention to a book in her hand.  At that very moment that look that Alice got when she saw the future came across her face.  I pulled Alice away from the rest of the family.  “What did you see Alice?” I asked curiously.  “A Van out of control and heading straight for Bella” At that moment I seen Tyler coming into the parking lot, skidding across some black ice.  I raced to Bella faster then I should have, I held out my hand and stopped the truck before it hit Bella.  I accidently knocked her to the ground and she hit her head on the ash vault.  I bent down to her to make sure she was alright; she looked up at me with wonder in her eyes.  Crap I hope she didn’t notice how far away from her I actually was.  Everyone ran to see if Bella was alright.  Tyler Poked his head out his window a slight cut on his forehead drizzling blood “Are you alright Bella? I’m so sorry”

It was time for me to make my escape.  I jumped over Bella’s truck and returned to my car to join my family.  In the car Rosalie was livid, angry that I rushed to Bella’s aide.  “Edward, don’t you think you’re pushing your luck by protecting her?” Rosalie hissed at me.  Her nostrils were flaring and her eyes were wild.  “Don’t worry Rosalie I don’t think anyone noticed how quickly I got to Bella’s side” “Besides if Bella did notice anything, I can just tell her she must’ve hit her head pretty hard”

We rushed to the hospital to talk to Carlisle.  We met up with Carlisle in the hall way, he informed me that Bella was fine.  Rosalie expressed her concerns about the whole situation. “Carlisle Edward needs to get over his fascination with this girl, it’s dangerous and will affect the whole family” “Rosalie calm down, no one noticed anything” I spat.  “Well Bella might have” Carlisle replied.  “She said you got to her so fast” At that moment Bella appeared around the corner, our conversation ended.

“Can I speak to you for a moment Edward” she said to me with a strange look in her eyes.  I looked at Carlisle and he nodded, so I walked slowly over to where Bella was standing.  “How did you get to me so fast?” “I was standing right next to you Bella” “No you weren’t you were standing next to your car, which was four cars away” “Bella you hit your head” I said realizing that she paid closer attention to things better more anyone else I had met.  “I swear your eyes were black the last time in bio, and now you suddenly were right next to me during the accident”  “I think you are looking too much into this Bella” “Please Edward tell me what is going on.  I saw you push the car with your hand” “No like I said you hit your head, and no one is going to believe you” “I never said I was going to tell anyone” “Then why can’t you just say thank you and let it go?” “Thank you Edward” “You’re not going to let this go are you” “No” she replied.  I turned away from her angry that she was not going to let this go.  I now knew that I had to be extra careful around her because she was a very perceptive person.
