I am a big guy, but I am working on that. I am a new to the amputee family lost my left leg due to nasty virus which is a type of flesh eating one, then lost even more due to a bad bone infection, spent 11 months in the V.A hospital recovering from the ordeal. Had congestive heart failure due to the virus and yes I did die on the operating table and no I did not see a bright light I saw much worse than that. It was a wake up call to straighten my life up. I am quit a loveable guy once you get to now me I have been referred to as a big teddy bear.
