Good Morning and hey there how ya doing, that’s how we say hey there and how ya doing in Michigan. (Or in others words a greeting) Are you in agreement with me that we sometimes get inundated with reports, forms that need to be filled out and just over and over doing repetitive tasks that seem to just waist our time? I think the great state of TEXAS just found that out…perhaps other states and legislatures will follow suit.
State report: Texas has too many reports

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — State agencies issue too many reports, a new 668-page report says.
The Texas State Library and Archives Commission spent 18 months and canvassed more than 170 agencies and public colleges and universities, checking on all the reports they are assigned to do. The commission found more than 1,600, and state records administrator Michael Heskett is pretty sure his team hasn't found them all. Heskett's initial findings indicate more than 400 report requirements are obsolete, duplicative or not needed as frequently as currently required. "At first, we were overwhelmed by the sheer number of reporting requirements," Heskett said. "We haven't begun our evaluation yet. But I think we can reach our goal of eliminating the deadwood without compromising the need for accountability in our state agencies." As for the commission's massive report on reports, Heskett predicts it won't go away.
"For the report to be effective, it must be ongoing," he said. Can anyone say DUH! A report on reports? Come on… That sounds like a monitor of a monitor. Police of the police. Yeah I believe that certain things need to be watched. Oh don’t get me wrong I believe everything should be watched and scrutinized because no one is perfect…ooops did I say that? I don’t mean you you I mean those who think the world owes them just because they are here. Yes we need to monitor monitors… how else can we stay safe and secure. But, what I am saying is big business and government and other entities that seem to make a job out of making the same statement over and over again. Take for instance Whirlpool. Oh I know this place well, let me tell you. Whirlpool’s home office or better put Administration Center located just north of Saint Joseph, Michigan in the Rocky Gap area which better known as Benton Harbor Michigan…but no one wishes to be known for Benton Harbor…long story short answer. Cultural shock would best explain it. But the AD Center has let’s say a gazillion gals working there and yes it’s a job…but pushing paper to prove ones net worth for being there is making reports to report on reports… is stupid! I mean they have secretaries for secretaries for secretaries…and those secretaries are doing the work of their boss’s who probably number in a boss for a boss for a boss and realistically the whole place could be down sized by 50% and yes I know what I said… but those boss’s and their boss’s and so forth and so on get what is called a bonus, oh they all do and some bonus’s are in the absurdly high range… once a fabulous school teacher that is so very, very dear to my heart questioned the fact that my wages were higher then hers and she said that is not right! Guess what she was right… But, the fact remains we have too many people doing the same thing to maintain the fact each has a job reporting to another reporting to another… and all of this is report hell! I have got so caught up in the grand scheme of design to make jobs for those making jobs for those that I am lost for words….LOL imagine that! I reported on reporters… Oh well the big picture made small is this… yes keep people working… but come on…enough on the massive amount of paper pushing that goes normally to the circular file…(waist can) Have a beautiful day.
