Just to make sure your brains don't waste away my dear Mummers.......
Emperor Constantine turned from a dedicated Pagan to not only a devoted Christian, but a fanatical one that would make Pat Robertson look like Betty Boop. It was done during a radical decline in the Roman Empire that almost spelled its demise, as Rome had been recently sacked by a rather small group of Pagan tribes who had gathered from Gaul (now France) who had rebelled against Roman authority and had won due to the fact that Roman troops were too widespread to defend Rome itself. Constantine was offered the support of a massive amount of troops from the Middle East as well as from Greece if he said he was Christian. So, did Constantine become Christian for political reasons, or did he do it out of faith in their God?
