As the fiery red sun fades into night
and the waves caress the windswept shore;
The moon unveils it's icy stare
I need her love more and more
The forest floor is an empty grave
The birds no longer sing - they only cry
My long lost love so close - yet far
Only God knows why
An angel in a sea of hate
A rose, alone in a field of hay
My lover in my every dream
My only hope - someday
Perhaps it's youth that hides her heart
With armor, ice and fire
Perhaps it's love's sweet poison
That's fueling my desire
It only takes one heart to want
To love, needs two to make it right
Love and beauty rest in front of my eyes
I never saw it until tonight.
