What are you waiting for?

I have met a lot of great people on here, with the times being the way they are I have had to do away with my internet connection as I feared awhile back. My parents are running out of their inheritance money (helping me out while I go through the disability fight). It's unsure how long I will even be living where I am now. I know I can't move back in with my parents I probably could but climbing the stairs is most painful and almost impossible. For the record I had been getting a good amount for food on the EBT card. And also my kids are on Medicaid, I used to be until the change. I hadn't applied for any other assistance at the time because I didn't want any possible future child support should it ever start coming in again or when they (I'm hoping they do soon) approve my disability and send the first check it would go to them. I have a few home repairs and I could put a good chunk on the mortgage. Ya I read the fine print if I receive the cash assistance as well they'd take it to reimburse them. But since the reevaluation November 2008 I had been cut the amount in 1/2 and taken off regular Medicaid and put down on the spend down program. Since the change I have not been talking all 5 of my scripts. I got them filled the end of November before it switched to "Spend Down" (I have to have $181 in qualified medical expenses before they will pay.) I should have been taking the Lasix and Potassium every day (yes in the summer my feet swell up like balloons & my BP isn't normal all the time - I have noticed a few times here lately when I'm sure it's been up there. After paying $118 for an office call now (was $80) before my DR had some Management Team step in and is dictating prices and no more freebies. So when I ran out of the refills I couldn't just phone him to phone it in. I am calling the regular Pharmacist to see if she is in as I feel I will get a more honest response from her. After getting my script filled I couldn't believe the difference in what the charged. As with the Medicaid (Gov. Program) the Amount Due was always on there and then the Total Due was always "0" when I had the Medicaid. Since I am paying cash now it has doubled in price if not higher on a few. I've scanned and printed off the old and the new Informational Sheet they put with it. I don't feel that just because it's a Gov. Program they should pay less. While a regular person paying cash pays more. Has anyone else on Medicaid at one time and then taken off noticed it? I'm going to see what the response is and I'm preparing to submit photo copies to the local news to have them check into it. I think regardless whether its a Gov. Program, a person with insurance or just paying cash it should all be one amount for the script (meds). They shouldn't vary because of who you are!
