o.k. how and where to begin ?
i can't really say life sucks. life in general can actually be a hell of a good time. there is a long list of enjoyable things out there, but i'll get to that, in time. i think it better, personally to rant, semi-coherently, about what pisses me off first.
like i said, life doesn't really suck, that is not to say that some of the situations IN life do not. say, for example, all of the stupid shit that goes on that effects our daily lives: politics, war, P.E.T.A.... the list goes on and on.
does anyone really care if the president is "gettin' some", or if somedumb fucks can't stop shooting themselves over religious beliefs? can anyone really give a rats ass if some mary kay comando tries a new lipstick out on a bunny? (i think bunnies are cute and all, but a little eye shadow and blush still ain't gonna make me want to ask it for a date.)
anyways, it's not the ideas themselves, the ideas are fine, and it's good to have and idea or ideals, but it just gets annoying when people believe so strongly in the idea that belief takes over, any semblance of thought goes out to lunch,, and the groups of half-witted, self-righteous asses take to whitch hunts and cross burnings as a means to execute their movements sentiments.
i've always found people as individuals to be interesting, intelligent and fairly decent in their own rights, but when you gather a bunch of them together the individual becomes social, and society is where you start to have problems. we become, for the most part, scared to show our individualism for fear of being ostricised from the social groups that we associate ourselves with. it always comes down to being a part of a whole and following your crowds ideals, not saying that that is a bad thing, i'm saying that we all do our part, however unintentionally, to segregate ourselves from others, creating our own groups, cultures and crowds of like-minded individuals that help to make us feel like we belong to something.
conformation. a need to belong to a group. that can be a dangerous thing. it can lead to religion
