Yep I'm coming back at the end of june, and damn does it cost a fortune. Still I knew this when i booked the flight so I can't complain.
I started watching life on mars (series 1) yesterday and it suddenly hit me why its so popular. Its not pc! As the series is based around the 70's, then some of the talk is based around that time. I remember the sweeney, it was a cop show that I was allowed to stay up and watch once a week. As to why i loved it so much I couldn't tell you.
My brother used to be a fan of starsky and hutch, and you couldn't watch anything else when it was on. It was a sacrifice worth keeping him happy LOL. Of course he was also a fan of the 6 milion dollar man. I remember the day it was shown because we used to go to a boxing club, and he decided the show was more important. Well we both didn't really enjoy going to the club, but i carried on. As my brother was watching the show, I was at the club and then put into a fight against the county champion! What the hell was they thinking? I couldn't punch my way out of a paper bag and they put me against him. Well it taught me a lesson in defence, and i presume they saw more in me than I did in myself. Still the next week I decided to follow my brother and watch the show LOL.
We both became big fans, obviously couldn't get all the toys that came with the show, but we did get the doll. As far as I remember it had a bionic eye, stickers that showed the wires inside the arm and i am sure it had an engine or generator so that it looked like he was lifting something heavy. And we think toys based on tv series and films is a recent thing. Still he didn't go through what my action man went through LOL.
