The FBI STILL has my computers.
[bangs head on desk...but quietly because I don't want to anger the librarian]
I'm going crazy without a computer at the house, but right now I can't afford to rent or buy another one while I wait for mine to be returned. It sucks, because I'm not getting any of the work done that I have to do and I can't talk to certain people who matter a lot to me. But...I have my daughter home so I deal with it. Besides, it gives us a bit more time to talk everything out.
The person who took her is in jail right now and the FBI is going through my machines file by file before returning them. As you might have guessed, I have A LOT of files on my computers...so this seems to be taking them a really long time to accomplish.
This 29 year old man...this SICK FUCK...who flew across the country and rented a car just to pick up a 13 year old girl tried to delete all the files off his laptop before the police took it into evidence. He didn't succeed and apparently his computer contained child pornography...thankfully, no images even remotely resembling my daughter...but that means that they have to check my machines more thoroughly because of that possible connection.
[sigh]
We were incredibly lucky.
Anyway, I wanted to give an update and let people know that I'll be back online as soon as I can be.
I miss my friends.
And DANG...it's way too quiet in here.
