Well I really don't know where to start here,I wanted to share with you, So here goes.
Just recently I was turned on to a book called "Anyone you WANT me to be" By John Douglas, Its based on a true story of sex and death on the internet.
The purpose of this book is to be educational and it's intended to be a warning!!
The on-line world has changed the nature of awareness required to prevent yourself from being victimized. In off-line world you can pick up on physical signals coming from people who could
do you harm. You can us your intuition, your survival instincts, your senses, and your common sense to know when trouble is near.
In Cyberspace, Your cut off from your senses and some of your instincts. You're often dealing with a fantasy land that is unlike anything that preceded it.You don't see the whole person at the
other end, But a stranger who is only showing you a small and highly portion of them selves. When you operate in such a place(HERE)you need to be keenly attuned to who YOU are and what you are doing,as well as what predators are doing..
If the women in this book been more discerning about such things They might be alive today.
You need to become your own profiler of human behavior. You needed not only to understand the drives of people the net had hooked you up with to -their desires and their real motivations-But just
as importantly, you need to understand yourself.
Ask your self these questions:
1. What are your own weakness and vulneraiblies?
2. What are your most secret longings?
3. where and how could you be manipulated?
4. what were you afriad of?
5. what kind of flattery are you suscepible to?
6. How do you see yourself?
7. How do you want others to see you?
8. what do you feel you are lacking that only another person can provide?
9. where are you emotional buttons and how easily could they be pushed?
10. what part of yourself do you have control over and which parts are you willing to let someone else control?
Several of these questions might seem casual, but not all of them were.As you read this book it will demonstrate, some held the power of life or death.
A cautionary tale set in a virtual world where relationships are estabished without the benefit of physical contact, and where mainstream Americans can be drawn down a dark path of temptation and death.
This was eye opening to me,I am not saying everyone on the net is bad, I am just saying there are out there Its not just men, it's women too.And they have not a care in the world for you, So just have caution.
