I work in a postal store. Not the actual Post Office, but like a Mailboxes n More.
Today was a normal day.
I was gathering the days mail to get it ready for the pick up, when I noticed a small package behind the bin. I grabbed it and saw that it was supposed to have gone out yesterday.
My co-worker said she must have missed it.
Simple mistake, no big deal, it wasn't an overnight mailing.
My co-worker went to put it in the bin when something stopped her. She looked at the package carefully then held it under her nose and sniffed.
"There's WEED in there!!" she exclaimed! I also took a big whiff and sure enough, it smelled like weed. We both looked at each other as if to say, "No way, who would mail pot? That's a Federal Offense!"
We both took the package and opened it up.
Yup, wrapped in nothing more than a plastic baggie and put in a plastic cassette tape box, was two nice buds!! SCORE!!
When examining the package more carefully, I noticed that the dude had ACTUALLY put a return address on the package. I about fell over.
This dude totally wins my Dumbass of the Year Award.
He's DAMN lucky it was I that found it. If a United States Postal Worker had gotten a hold of it, he would be lookin at some hard time.
