I really wanted to share this story with everyone it brought a tear to my eye! Twas the night before Christmas he lived all alone in a one bedroom house made of plaster and stone. I had come down a chimney with presents to give and to see just who in this home did live. I looked all about a strange sight did I see no tinsel, no presents not even a tree.No stocking by mantle, just boots filled with sand on the wall hung pictures of far distant lands. With medals and badges Awards of all kinds a sober thought come thru my mind for this house was different, it was dark and dreary I found the home of a soldier once I could see clearly. The soldier lay sleeping silent and alone curled up on the floor in this one bedroom home. The face was so gentle the room such diorder not how i pictured a United States soldier! Was this the hero of whom i just read? curled up in a poncho the floor for a bed? I realized the families that I saw this night owed their lives to these soldiers who were willing to fight. Soon round the world the children would play and grownups would celebrate a bright Christmas Day!They all enjoy freedom each month of the year because of the soldiers like the one lying here I couldn't help wonder how many lay alone on a cold Christmas Eve ,in a land far away from home! The very thought brought a tear to my eye, i dropped to my knees and started to cry. The soldier awakened and I heard a rough voice " Santa don't cry this life is my choice I fight for freedom I don't ask for more. My life is my God ,My country , My corps." The soldier rolled over and drifted to sleep I couldn't control it I continued to weep. I kept watch for hours so silent and still we both shivered from the cold nights chill. I didn't want to leave on that cold ,dark night,this guardian of honor so willing to fight. Then the soldier rolled over with a voice soft an pure whispered " Carry on Santa Its Christmas Day all is secure." One look at my watch and i knew he was right "MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!" THIS IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STORY SO PLESE DO ME ONE FAVOR AS YOU ARE ENJOYING YOU TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS STOP FOR A MOMENT AND REMEMBER THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM IN THAT FAR AWAY LAND !

my live has been so fucked up and i sometimes try to ponder why things happen the way they do. i married the wrong man but i had four beautiful children. left him and had to leave the kids for reasons i can't mention, had or got a good job driving school bus i enjoyed my job the kids were brats but i loved it. did not see my kids again until they were adults and now i have beautiful grandkids so i must have done one thing right.i live in a world that is so screwed makes you wonder if your sane or not. the diaster in nyc was really attrocious an also many lives were destroyed and i saw people jumping out of the windows of the trade center, makes my little problems look just like that ,little problems and when does it ever end? everyone bitches about the president and the mistakes he makes but who elected him , no one ever thinks about that. we elected him to office and then we bitch about how bad he is,well then we were the ones to blame for that . the things I worry about are the children who do not have anything to eat or very little to eat. parents of little kids in africa dying of aids and leaving their kids orphans and i sit and bitch about my life how dare me. lets get up off our collective asses and do something, watch the movie the world trade center and then take a goo d hard look at your life and see how can you change it . i am gonna try!!!!!!!! take five minutes outta y our life to tell someone just how much you love them instead of bitching and moan about how bad you have , you 'll be surprised............. one more thing if we could all be like the heroes of flight 93 this world would be a better place !
