Something inside of me grows
angry, scared, even confused
thought i had it alll figured out
thought i had the one thing i would never loose
then you went and changed the rules
i gave my heart to you
you left me to bleed
hurt anger confusion betrayed
none of these fit
left to face myself i cry
i'm out of reason to believe
out reason to go on
out of faith that there's something to be learned form this
i'm left hallow alone
a whole that you left in me
take this heart of mine for it no longer belongs to me
you came and took it from me
 in  it's stead grows a new 
not as strong not as whole
but at least i know im getting over you
holding on to what's left of me
never again to feel this pain
to know this kind of shame
no more tears for the one who left me hurt
holding back the tears
holding back the anger
stitching up this whole you left
i put on a brave face
hold my head up and move on
in time i'll learn to let go
in time i can forgive
till then i'm a solder tending to an abused heart
So take the love i'm willing to give and forgive me the rest for this abused heart needs time to heal
