   I often wonder what I did,

   to deserve a friend like you,

   someone who is special,

   someone who is true.

   It seems like I've known you,

  for forever , yet it's been less

  than a year, and a future without you

  in my life is my greatest fear.

  Before I met you my heart was empty,

  with a hole no-one could fill,

  but then you came along

  and poured your love in,

  and gave my heart some will.

  What I'm trying to say is ,

  I love you ! but I can't explain why,

  and if falling for you is a risk,

  it's a risk I'm willing to try.

  But if a relationship

  is not for you,

  in time my heart will mend.

  but the friendship we share

  I cherish , and I pray it never ends.
