Good Morning. We have all heard of New Years Resolutions… but how about letting your lingerie determine your new years fate…Well that is just what Brazilians believe. I am not making this up…what some people trust in is just…wild I guess…however this is ether a ploy by an underwear manufacturer or a man’s hope to see someone in yellow underwear…other then himself… oh yuck did I just say that…the focus is back to Brazil…
When economists calculated the effect of the credit crisis they warned of a run on the banks but not a run on yellow underwear.
But in Brazil, the color of underwear worn at midnight on New Year's Eve is believed to influence your luck in the coming year.
Wearing red underwear is supposed to bring passion, pink underwear love, white underwear peace and green underwear luck.
Yellow underwear means money and with millions of people worried about the fallout from the credit crunch, they are flying off the shelves.
"People are desperate, they want to not lose their jobs and have some money in their pockets," said Denise Areal, marketing director for Duloren, one of Brazil's biggest underwear producers.
"We've sold out 100,000 pairs and we don't have time to make any more.
Generally, the red and pinks associated with passion and love, and the whites associated with peace are the big seller but this year yellow has taken over."
According to tradition, women must wash the underwear in the New Year and then wear them inside out on the first Friday of the year for the effect to work. Ok, now take note…they said to wear them inside out and not on top of ones head…I can see a nation full of horny guys who just acquired a pair of yellow panties donning them on their noggins. Ok…ok I know I have ran this horse into the ground…how about Japan…and their Jury Bra is the Shizzz…Sorry stole that word from someone…However I did not steal the bra…have you seen this thing? It looks just like its name…a Juror’s Scale of justice. Who comes up with these fashion statements anyway? I mean can that bra uphold……whoa, I am getting way off the morning track here on colors of draws and scales holding boobs…I will just leave it at that and say this: Colored Undies are great it makes for interesting viewings…and now every time I see the scales of justice I am going to imagine mentally how stupid some clothing manufacturers are...or I should say designers. Oh…and you thought I was going to say I would imagine a pair of………oh and happy hump day Y’all
