Good Morning and Hello there. A huge battle was won in the approval of allowing the Wiccan symbol on grave markers for the fallen soldiers. The VA finally approved this and the various families awaiting use of this symbol now will get their loved ones grave marker changed prior to Memorial Day. That is a good thing. To many believe too much in movies and the Hollywood silver screen far too often sights the Wiccan 5 pointed star as a sign of the Devil which is not true. The settlement calls for the pentacle, whose five points represent earth, air, fire, water and spirit, to be placed on grave markers within 14 days for those who have pending requests with the VA. Too many believe that their religion should be the only religion and I can not stress this point enough, that this is where the world differs and belief bashing starts.
The pentacle has been added to 38 symbols the VA already permits on gravestones. They include commonly recognized symbols for Christianity, Buddhism, Islam and Judaism, as well as those for smaller religions such as Sufism Reoriented, Eckiankar and the Japanese faith Seicho-No-Ie.
So as I said it’s a step in the right direction. Hollywood can now search for a new horror symbol for the haters out there.
You know I not often use the word haters but, I must say those who bring down others beliefs and think their beliefs are it and none other shall be right in their mind are why this world is in such a shamble. Again, perhaps my stupidity but I just don’t get it.
