A day went by
A day went by without you
A week, a month, a year
In my mind things were foggy,
I struggled to make them clear
Was all of this really happening
It felt like the Twilight Zone
Surely someone would wake me up
I felt so all alone
But then another day went by
Another week and another month too
This had to be the worse feeling ever
How could I be living without you
Some day I'm living in a cloud
Just following my routine
Other days I'm too drunk to care
There is no in-between
And yet another day went by
And the seasons passed without hesitation
the nights were growing darker
They only added to my frustration
How could the sun still rise everyday
When All I can see is rain
How can flowers continue to bloom
Why didn't everyone feel my pain
And yet another day went by
And another and another and then four
Eventually I began to lose track
Living began to feel like a chore
It was something that I had to do
But it did not bring me delight
Living did not bring me any comfort
It only added to my plight
I couldn't face the days anymore
Too many had already gone by
Without any reason or any explanation
Only the lingering question of why
