So you want to know about me, well alright I have nothing to hide. My name is Jonathan Matthews I am 53 years old, a retired Army Veteran, and I live in Texas. My two kids are grown, on their own and successful. Am I married? Well, I was, I am widowed now. Five years ago my wife was diagnosed with terminal mental illness due to inoperable lesions caused by cysts in the brain. The doctors recommended that she be institutionalized, I said NO. I don't turn my back on anyone, ever, and I am not a fan of mental facilities. On top of that I did not want her, on the rare days that she seemed to remember who she was, to realize she had been abandoned. So, I care for her as best I can but functionally I am alone. Last year she had a stroke which placed her in a semi vegetative state and required me to place her on limited life support similar to the case of Terri Schiavo. I came to FUBAR over two years ago because it's fun and full of interesting people so don't be afraid to say hello I wont bite. One thing you may not see much from me is a lot of photos. I'm just not real happy with the way they came out sometimes so I have uploaded my two favorites and my rough looking salute so you know I'm real.
