Aside from what I already stated in the "About Me" section, I also love woodworking, drafting, and landscaping. I also do a lot of writing, mostly technical writing and opinion pieces/essays.

I use Carvin guitars and amps exclusively, DiMarzio pickups, Dean Markley Electric Blue Steel strings, and Big Stubby guitar picks (the very thickest).

My main guitars are all Carvin, V220M series.

My areas of interest, academically speaking, are physics (concentration in optical and quantum), genetics, mathematics, structural & mechanical engineering, materials research, ballistics, weapons and weapons systems design, and linguistics.

I'm an old school philosopher in a very modern world. I was born several hundred years too late, in the wrong part of the world, and without anywhere nearly enough coffee.

I'm a serious musician. I've been playing guitar for 34 years. I play rock, hard rock, classical, and neo-classical. As for what types of music I listen to, I listen to a lot! I listen to all kinds and eras of rock music, classical, baroque, blues, and a (very) little country.

I love anything and everything with Clint Eastwood, whether he is acting or directing. I like action, suspense, horror, and historical movies. Scientific and historical documentaries are a mainstay in my living room, too, even if they aren't movies.
