Layout made by Violet PixiI live on the North Shore of Long Island, New York. I am fortunate to live in a village that has beaches that I frequent all throughout the year. Standing by the water's edge is is a place where I clear my thoughts and experience the tides coming and going and witness many sunrises & sunsets. Some might consider this mundane and unexciting; but for me this puts everything in perspective as far as who we are and the meaning of our existence. People need to take a detour from the rat race and appreciate that every day, even every moment is a gift to be cherished.
As a surviving parent raising two teenage daughters, I have seen the darkest side of life and also the joy and best it has to offer. I've learned the hard way that you can not take anything for granted
Nonetheless, I make a sincere effort to live in the positive realm and try to eliminate and stay away from the negativity which seems to be overwhelming this world. We have to come to truly realize and believe that nothing in our life is as important as family & friends. Mostly everything else is insignificant and can be replaced when you actually think about it, no matter how precious you might think it is.
