I was born Joseph Albert Childress on August 3rd,1984 in Norman,Oklahoma. Although I was not born here I consider my home to be Kansas City. I moved here when I was 13 so these streets are what raised me. The person who influenced me to become a rap artist was Ncklaus Washington a.k.a ChickenHawk J.R. It all started at Schagle high school my freshman year in S.T.A.R. class. Nick was having trouble rhyming to a verse he wrote down. I was listening in the background when I finally got the courage up to ask him" why dont you try this?" I've always been intrigued by poetry. I find that its the best way to express views,opinions,and feelings. I continued to ease drop and help fill in the blanks till one day he said " You've got the lyrics,they're right there in your head,now put it to a melody" that was the day me,Anonymous a.k.a Da Prophet was born. Every since then I've been on a mission to be nothing more than heard. One thing I think artists seem to forget is that rap & hip-hop is nothing more than poetry with a melody. A lot of artists forget that and lack the emotion,detail, and feeling that is easily identifiable in my music. Even if its bout money,cars, or women.
