Interests? Well, you better grab a Snickers, because you'll be here for a while. Sci-Fi's Battlestar Galactica is, bar none, the best series on television since Firefly. The engaging storylines, the superb acting, and the high-quality special effects make all other series seem amateur by comparison. If you are not watching this masterpiece of series television, seek help. Speaking of great television... Joss Whedon worked magic creating FIREFLY. The cast, the acting, the stories...all top-notch. Thanks to FOX's superb mishandling and supreme stupidity, it left the airwaves before its time. But, thanks to the dedication of Joss and the series' fans, the Browncoats, our Big Damn Heroes enjoyed one more round of thrilling heroics in the movie SERENITY. If you are not getting set to go to your local DVD retailer and buy the Firefly DVD set or a copy of Serenity...seek help for that, too. Moving on... My other obsession is the country of Japan. It's been an interest of mine ever since I was a little boy. It started when I was convinced to watch this TV miniseries my mother was watching, called "James Clavell's SHOGUN", which was based on his best-selling book. After half an hour, I was hooked. The history, the culture, the language...it all captivated me, and I wanted to know more. So, I studied the country sporadically ever since, and now, I've delved back into my studies with earnest. I would give ANYTHING to go there someday; my tentative plan is to travel to Tokyo in 2009 if the financial planning for it works out. Until then, I'll live vicariously through the many books I have on that beautiful country, and its amazing people. I have many more interests that go far beyond the confines of this list, but I'd rather you try to get to know me and learn the other things for yourself.
