I have been married for 17 years in September 2009. However, we have been together for 21 years. We recently graduated our last of four children, three girls and a boy. They consist of his mine and ours, the boy being ours and the youngest. Though over the years they all grew into simply Our Kids!!! And we are very proud of them. We are not yet empty-nesters, as our son is still at home kind of in limbo as to what he plans to do. And he currently isn't working.
I also have 6 grandchildren ranging in age from 17yrs. to 4 months. They are so much fun, and such a blessing to me. Raising children was very hard for me and my grandbabies.. well it is so much different. I truly enjoy them and am blessed by them. I am sure I wasn't a very good mom, but I am just as sure that I am a much better Nanny. 'Nanny is how the grandkids refer to me. Nanny and Pa is who my husband and I are to the grandkids. I do holiday crafts with the grandkids and make outfits and dtuff they need for plays and such.
I enjoy taking care of our home, inside and out. Not afraid of hard work, tilling the garden by hand or doing the weeding with an old tyme weedwacker. I like to sit and watch my garden grow as a fire burns in my hillside fire pit, while listening to music (probably country & western). I like all kinds of music, even the 70's and early 80's headbanger stuff. But I am partial to my Country & Western. As I am a country girl all the way.
We have five pets, four cats and a dog. My oldest cat is 16 and he has mitten paws, and one eye. He's had only one eye for the last ten years and still goes out fighting other cats. He's a bully. My youngest cat is taken care of regularly by the dog. Check out the pics.
