Hello my name is Doc. I'm an old hippy/biker. Worked with the Diggers in Haight Ashbury from 1967-1969. Lived at Morningstar Ranch Commune as well as Wheelers. In the 70's I was a Disc Jockey in LA. My radio name was Doc Savage.
I am also an author with a book soon to be published called"Chasing Rainbows a Flower Childs Journey". Was also at one time a member of a band in S. Calif.
I am a father of 4 boys,grandfather of 3,Viet Nam Veteran. Retired and somewhat loving life as it is. I work on the Traffic Crew at the Oregon Country Fair and also perform with Elk Thunder Drum during the event. I co-coordinate security for the Trinity Tribal Stomp.
Considering a major change in location. My old friend,Standing Bear and I are going to retire in Hawaii. On Kauai. Have friends there and the States just drag us way down. Old and tired are we but not too old and tired to enjoy the islands for the next few years. Gonna buy me a boat and do some serious fishing!! Hope to be on our way by mid January. Suppose I could leave my winter clothes behind. LOL. Standing Bear and I are old surfers as well. Did quite well in the 60's. Gonna get a chance to hone some old skills.

Bought a motorhome in Feb and have been traveling up and down I-5 from Redding to Portland. Got a big party at the Oregon Country Fair site in Eugene on the 15th. Mothers day Powwow in Grants Pass and a FesterFest first week of June in Portland.
