Birth of a Mother

Young one, I notice you are upset, what pains you?

Father, I do not mean to be unkind,but I have questions.
It is not that I do not enjoy watching over those in need, but I have an emptiness.

Have you thought on what may fulfill you?

I am thankful to be here with you, yet I feel a need to leave.
To know how it would be to choose my own way.

You are asking to leave?

Not like the others, only for a short time.
To experience what life can be, both good and bad.

And you plan to return?

That will be up to you, Father, but that is my hope.
My separation from you shall weigh heavily on me.

Yet you are certain?

Yes, Father, I realize I am risking much, but I can gain even more.
Hopefully I will be the better for it when I return.

It will not be easy.

I am prepared for pain, failure and discomfort.
However I will search for joy and happiness in all things.

Your mind seems sure, I hope your path is as well.

Bowing her head, turns her back,drops her wings and steps into the womb.

Be safe my child and return soon, for my Heaven is already missing you.

God wipes a tear from his cheek.
