when you drive out the wolves, the rats take over. word gets out about rats, attracts more wolves. throws everything out of balance. unless, of course, there's one wolf that's big and bad enough to keep all the other wolves at bay...

music is the life for me

This paper is about me and what I believe God put me on this planet to do. I was always interested in music and got more into the rap genre when I listen to a rapper named YZ. His album is called sons of the father. He was not like all the cursors and profane so-called rappers. YZ was more about uplifting and motivating people. That was inspiring to me. After him I was drawn into the gangster rap world and tried to do music with it, not to any avail.

I tried my hand at try to be involved with hip-hop, like the kind that comes from New York. then in 2002, I was given a major turning point. I was with a group of people and we did some bad things, got caught and ended up in jail. I was in my 20's then, and filled with alot of the anger from what happened to me when I was a child. I went to The Salvation Army Harbor Lights in downtown Minneapolis and joined a Christian program called Spiritual Growth.

I was there only a short time when I was informed that there was a warrant out on me. so, with the change that came over me when I first joined, I went and turned myself in. That was one of the best things I could have been used to do. I was kept over night and was released a few days later. Then I went to court and would have received 3 and a half years in prison, but God had other plans. I was only given 60 days of STS/community service. I did those 60 days while I was in the Spiritual Growth program and after they were completed, stayed in the program. I was there for about 3-5 months.

This is where God took control over me and turned my street rap into gospel rap. I also became a choir member and was the substitute drummer when the main one was gone.

I enjoyed being in the choir and was blessed with alot if inspiration and courage, not only to change my genre of music, but also to perform live in front of other people. I will admit that I was scared at first, but with the constant performances and interactions, you become immune to the stage fright. The picture above is me at a concert in Indiana. We also went to Greenbay, Wisconsin and also to Nebraska.

I want to be used by God to spread His message of Love and humanity to all the people on this planet, and one day i will. This is the main reason i went and got my GED and then started college.
