Hello
I really don't have a subject matter
or any "theme" going on here today.
I thought I'd just catch you up on
some turn of events & happenings
from my RL while away from Fubar.
No worries, nothing too deep or gory details
but life altering none the less. But I'll spare you
any of the soap opera drama that I call life.
I do have some new live-ins ...
Which doesn't really bother me,
but it's changed my daily routine a good bit.
My 21 year old daughter & 20 month old grandbaby
are here on the part-time bases with I do find delightful!
I cant say I'm surprised that her marriage fell apart
I think both side are more surprised that it lasted
as long as it did. But you know teenagers KNOW
everything & there was not stopping them from
getting married back when they announced it
to everyone surprise after knowing each other
for all of 2 months!
But there is always a bright side:
I got a granddaughter from it.
I now get to see her more that split up too
(she lived 60 miles away before)
My daughter is again trying to
chase after her dream of modeling
now that there isn't a jealous hubby.
She is actually in Miami now on a tryout
for the TV show "Next Top Model" (Tyra Banks show)
Which is a huge deal, but she's
going in knowing her chances are
very slim - but why not risk it?
What's there to lose if you don't make it?
So, on the outside chance she makes
the cut - I might end up with 100% of
the baby for long periods of times.
Not like the usual Grandparent
way of having them for short periods
and handing them to Mom when you
grow tired of them ...
So you can see I'm teetering on
a lot of "What if's" around my place.
That ... and much more happenings
But enough of me for one sitting ...
On to this:
So, I've gave you a little bit (of many)
of the things going on around here.

From the whining I've done about my lost files,
You'd might believe I have nothing left that
I haven't already sent out or seen ...
Which isn't true, I have some stuff
that's not been used by me -
But I have such bad photobucket
files that I don't have key worded or
in placed for easily locating them to use.
So until I've got things sorted
I'll just get creative with stuff
That I run across while trying
to reorganize and running.
So I've used the "Off like a:" before,
But not as a greeting but in these blogs.
Interesting part of that "Off like a:"
It's actually a phrase I happen to "Coin"
Yeah, neat when I hear people use it too!
I come up with it while e-mailing a friend a
few years ago, I was just closing my note
and came to the part in closing where
some might try to be clever ...
So I had typed:
"In closing, I hope this finds you well & happy
As for me" ....
And the first thing that popped into my head was:
"Off like a prom dress"
But as I thought that - I glanced up at the TV
to witness a car chase scene and a hubcap
pop off as the car hit a curb and wobbled back
as the car fled off being pursued by the cops.
So that's were it came from,
used it ever since, more so
back a couple years ago.
Funny that pop culture was
just starting to use the term
"That's how I roll"
and it happened to fit nice
with my new "Catch Phrase" (haha)

I do have some new live-ins ...
