Your Smile
I hold my breath to temper my fear,
That I might miss one smile you give.
Waiting, hoping, I sit watching,
As I will for as long as I live.
I would love to explain in words to you,
And hope someday that I might,
But for now I am at a loss for words,
To describe how I feel at your sight.
I wilt, grow weak, and warm all at once,
And I hope that you can see,
The love, the hope, the outright joy,
And the passion you ignite in me.
In dreams I search and awake I wish,
And would walk for untold miles,
Through barriers though impossible,
And out of love, just to see your smile.
