I just put some lamb steaks in to marinade with a mint pesto, and am looking forward to grilling them tonight. We have finally gotten into a stretch of nice clear summer weather in Ohio, so it's now time to enjoy our cookouts.
Any oenophiles out there have any wine pairing suggestions for this lamb dish? I haven't prepared lamb too often so would love some tips. I'm thinking perhaps a pinot or Cote du Rhone, but would love to hear some suggestions.
In case the side dishes would influence your recommendations--I'm planning to serve the lamb with a spinach salad (with some feta, walnuts and balsamic vinagrette) and couscous (with a bit of lemon, feta and walnuts). |
