WELL IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYTIME I USE THIS WORD I EAITHER GET HURT OR FEEL LIKE SHIT FOR LIKE A MONTH AND I DONT KNOW WHAT I DID WRONG. I GUESS THAT I GET ATTACHED TO EASY AND I NEVER GIVE IT TIME TO WORK OR I LET IT HAPPEN BECAUSE I DONT KNOW ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE BUT I TEND TO BE A NICE GUY OR, MAYBE TO NICE AND PEOPLE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME I HAVE NO IDEA. BUT ALOT PEOPLE SAY IAM FULL OF MYSLEF AND THE HOLE WORLD HAS TO REVOLE AROUND ME AND YES I DO LIKE TO BE CENTER OF ATTENATION BUT I UNDERSTAND WHEN STUFF COMES UP. THERE ARE ONLY A FEW PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD THAT I HATE AND THEY KNOW WHO THEY ARE SO I WONT EVEN NAME NAMES. aLSO ABOUT THE WORD LOVE I DONT JUST THORW THE WORD LOVE AROUND AND IF I TELL YOU I LOVE YOU I DO. anxiously eyeing the clock
retracing his steps
over and over
counting the minutes
until her arrival
kneeling before a crackling fire
adding another log
he rose to check again
his preparations for tonight
the thick sheepskin rug
lay lovingly spread before the flames
waiting for her
the book
the one she longed after
in that tiny shop downtown
rested on the warm stone hearth
waiting for her
the wine
that special bottle
from a few years ago
late fall harvest
sat open
and sweet
waiting for her
the glasses
his best crystal
sat sparkling in the firelight
waiting for her
his hand
stopped a moment
over his heart
and lovingly fingered
the prize there
hidden away in his pocket
where it lay
waiting for her
taking the ring
from its secret place
he gazed at it
mesmerized by its shine
by what it stood for
soon he smiled and
softly slipped it back
to its repose

Fire and Rain

Rain falls
a steady percussion
of hollow drops
on the metal roof
invoking a dreamy feeling
firelight dances with shadows
upon the walls
in an intimate display
pitch crackles as the fire burns hotter
my hand in yours
as you pull me to you
to the sheepskin rug by the fire
your clear blue eyes gaze into mine
lips hovering just a whisper away
electricity flows between us
almost visible
in it's intensity
I sip the wine you poured
feeling a heady rush
sweet and warm
our bodies so heated
from the fires that rage
inside and out
your fingers curl around mine
taking the glass
as you lean close
settling your lips gently on mine
hands tangling in my hair
kiss deepening
as the rain and fire
sing a lulling duet
nothing else matters
just this moment
just this kiss
just you and I
